Day 01: Arrive Delhi – Bhubaneswar (Flight)

Arrive Delhi and connect flight to Bhubaneswar, you will be met by our TIME representative at airport, later transfer to the Hotel Check-in at the hotel. Bhubaneshwar is the capital of Orissa and a major city that is rich in heritage and etiquettes. The day will begin by visiting the greatest tribal museum in Orissa. The museum has an amazing collection of artifacts and handmade wares that are beautiful and are of great value. At the noon, you will be heading to Jain caves which is also called as Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves which is a habitation of Jains and Buddhist monks. Overnight at Hotel. Overnight in Bhubaneswar.

Day 02: In Bhubaneswar

You will be guided to a city tour to visit amazing places like Rajarani temple, The place is adorned with nymphs and the embracing couples. Followed by a visit to Parameshwara temple which is one of the oldest temple in Orissa and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Then you will be visiting the Muktesvara Temple , which is renowned as the gem of Odisha is a beautiful Lord Shiva temple which is a heritage beauty. The Brahmeshwara temple and Lingaraj Temple which is another enchanting architectural beauty dedicated to Lord Shiva. We also visit the rare tantric temple at Hirapur , one of the centers of the Shakti cult in India. Overnight in Bhubaneswar.

Day 03: Bhubaneswar – Joranda Monastery - Dhenkanal (100 kms)

After breakfast we proceed to Dhenkanal, on the way we will stop by at Nuapatna textile village , famous for its Double Ikat Technique also known as Tie and Dye kind of work . Later we will drive to Sadeibareni Dhokra Craft village, the villagers use an ancient lost wax technique to make small idols and figures. The evening we will spend at the Joranda Monastery. The sadhus of the Mahima Sect preside in this monastery, who have adopted Mahima culture which is derived from Hinduism. We will see the interesting evening prayers and the rituals. Overnight in Dhenkanal.

Day 04: Dhenkanal – Buddhist Excavated sites of Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri – Puri (300 kms)

After breakfast today we proceed to visit the excavated Buddhist Heritage sites of Ratnagiri (has a rich concentration of Buddhist antiquities), Lalitgiri (Oldest Buddhist center of Odisha) and Udayagiri (Largest Buddhist complexes in Odisha). Later we drive to Puri. Overnight in Puri.

Day 05: Puri – Konark – Raghurajpur Heritage village - Puri (80 kms)

Today we Drive to Famous Sun temple at Konark after Breakfast. Puri is the splendor of Orissa with historical places that are beautiful and full of life. The Sun temple at Konark which is also known as “the Black Pagoda “ is also declared as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE . Later we drive to visit the fishing village and the heritage village of Raghurajpur which is famous for Folk painting and art and crafts. In the evening we take a rickshaw ride at the Grand road of Puri to see the famous Jaggarnath Temple from an Old Library roof top. Overnight in Puri.

Day 06: Puri – Mangalajodi – Gopalpur (220 kms)

We start the tour to the land of the Tribes. Please note we should Start this day should be a Sunday. We drive to Gopalpur on Sea, a tranquil city by the Bay of Bengal. We stop by at Mangalajodi, the back waters of Chilika Lake (A RAMSAR site). Boating in country boats to see various Migratory Birds. Later proceed to Gopalpur. Overnight in Gopalpur.

Day 07: Gopalpur – Pushangia (225 kms )

Drive to Baliguda, territory of the tattoo faced kondh tribes.The maliah kondhs have tattoos like that of a tiger on the faces , this kind of tattooing is practiced mostly by the women. Check into pushangia eco cottages , situated very close to villages of the Maliah Kondhs. The maliah kondhs are a subgroup of the Kondh tribes , that practiced Human sacrifice in the past , the sacrifice still exists but in the form of a small chicken or pig , which is given to please the mother goddess. Evening short walk in the villages of the Maliah Kondhs. Overnight in Pushangia.

Day 08: Pushangia – Rayagada (160kms)

After breakfast we visit various villages of the tattoo faced kondhs that live near Pushangia. We leave after breakfast and continue a soft walk in the villages to see the daily life of the tattoo faced. Later we drive to Rayagada and on the way we will stop by at the villages of the Desia Kondh. Overnight in Rayagada

Day 09: Rayagada - Chatikona Market (Wednesday) – Jeypore. (160km)

After an early breakfast we drive to Chatikona weekly market of the Dongoriya and Desia Kondhs. Chattikona is a vibrant and colorful weekly market also known as Haat in local dialects. The market is frequently visited by the Dongoriya Kondhs also known as the hill people. The Dongoriya Kondhs reside on Niyamgiri hills and walk down every Wednesdays to sell local products like fruits, vegetable , herbs etc. Drive to Jeypore , en route Mali and Kuvi Kondh villages. Overnight in Jeypore

Day 10: Jeypore – Onkudelli Weekly Market - Jeypore (150 kms)

Drive to Onkudelli Weekly Market of the Bonda and Gadabbas. After breakfast we drive 75 kms to Onkudelli weekly market which commences only on Thursdays. The market is frequently visited by The Bondas and the Gadabbas. The bondas are considered to be India’s most primitive tribes live in the Malkangiri district of Odisha. The dialect spoken by them is known as REMO. The women wear thick silver neck bands and mostly beads. Every Thursdays they walk down the hills and visit Onkudelli to sell Local Alcohol, seeds , fruits and other vegetables which they grow in the forests.We have a picnic lunch near Peta , near the villages of the Parojas , one of the largest tribal groups of South . After lunch we continue to do a soft walk in the villages of the Parojas and Ollar gadabas. Later drive back to Jeypore. Overnight in Jeypore

Day 11: Jeypore –Kotpad textile village - Lohandiguda Weekly market– Jagdalpur (Friday)

Today you will drive to Jagdalpur, our tribal tour of chattisgarh begins today. On the way we stop at Kotpad textile village. The Kotpad weavers, also called ‘Mirgan,’ make saris, gamchas and tuvals. Typically, these minimalist saris indicate the wearer’s identity and mark the rites of passage in a woman’s life. Depending on the occasion, the saris get a bit more elaborate, such as a wedding, as shown by elaborate designs on borders and muhs, (pallavs), dominated by the kumbha. We will also visit a local market at Lohandiguda of the Maria Gonds which commences in the afternoon at Jagdalpur. Overnight in Jagdalpur

Day 12: Jagdalpur – Mardum Market – Jagdalpur (Saturday)

Morning visit Bison Horn Maria Gond villages. Primarily found in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, the Bison Horn Marias tribes are another major sub-castes of the Gonds. They mainly reside in Jagdalpur Tehsil of Chhattisgarh, south of Indravati River. Like Abhuj Marias these tribes also like to live in isolation into deep interiors of forests and avoid contacts from outside world. They also practice shifting cultivation method of agriculture and collect forest produce for survival. Like Abhuj Marias, they do not plough the earth, as it would mean inflicting pain on her body. Pointed wood pieces are used for piercing for cultivation and stone implements are used for harvesting produce. They derive their name from Bison Horn and very much adorn the bison horns during their dancing rituals. They also perform the marriages through Ghotul System. We will also see the famous BISON HORN MARIA dance as per request of the villagers. Photography is absolutely possible in all places. Later we visit the most colorful weekly market of the Maria Gonds at Mardum which commences on Saturday only. The market is famous for its Rooster (cock) fights. We shall also visit the famous waterfalls at Chitrakoot which is also known as the Niagra falls of India. Overnight in Jagdalpur

Day 13: Jagdalpur –Kondagaon – Raipur (285 kms)

Today we drive to Raipur on the way we stop by at the Ferro Craft village at Kondagaon. Overnight in Raipur

Day 14: Raipur –Delhi (Flight) & Leave Delhi

In the morning transfer to Raipur airport to board flight to Delhi and connect fight for next destination.
